Description: two Jackson High School graduation annoucements, both smudged but intact

.01 1909 JHS graduation announcement (single printed paper) with four separate pieces; printed name card for Esculene Lake; handwritten name card Edith Lake; envelope addressed to Mr. W.W. Roberts and family; graduation announcement for event to be held on Thursday, June 3 at 8 p.m. at Opera House. Esculene Lake graduated in 1909. Edith Lake graduated in 1902.

.02 1902 commencement announcement (cardstock cover and back with two separate sheets of lighter weight paper tied together with cord, unlikely original cord); outside cover shows dark spot (potentially mildew) with a printed pennant JHS, inside first sheet is an invitation to commencement Wednesday, June 4th, 8 pm at Crescent Opera House; second sheet lists graduates 21 girls and 6 boys, most include middle names or initials. Edith Lake graduated in 1902 but commencement announcement had no outer envelope so Edith’s name card got inserted with Esculene’s 1909 envelope for storage at some point.
