Description: two items donated by family during sale of South St. home
.100 1951 Sylvania b/w television console set, given to Owen and Patty as a wedding gift. Patty believes it was the first tv of that style in the city of Jackson. Purchased at Cherrington Appliances on Main Street in Jackson.
.101 oil portrait of unknown person done by unknown artist, was given to French family by Mrs. Schellenger after she originally gave it to the Jackson Christian Church seemingly as original denomination founder. Then was given to French family after church decided it wasn’t a portrait of a founder. Portrait hung in upstairs in French home for years.
